Dr. Rupak Singla

Dr. Rupak Singla is a renowned medical professional who has made significant contributions to the field of chest diseases, particularly in the management of difficult cases of tuberculosis. He is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Chest Diseases at the National Institute of Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases (NITRD) in New Delhi, India.
Dr. Singla initiated the concept of “Difficult-to-Treat TB Clinic” across India, which provides management solutions for difficult patients of tuberculosis to doctors working in the periphery. Through this clinic, he has also conducted capacity building programs for doctors across the country. He has also led a team of TB experts in India to create a mobile application that provides tailored treatment solutions for individual TB patients.
Dr. Singla has played a pivotal role in the development and revision of national guidelines for the management of tuberculosis, HIV-TB, Pediatric TB & Extra-pulmonary TB, and has served as a technical expert for various national committees in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Dr. Singla is also a well-known teacher for post-graduate students of respiratory diseases, and he has been teaching for more than 30 years. He is a keen researcher and has published more than 115 papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Singla’s a dedicated medical professional and his contribution to the field of chest diseases has been recognized with several national awards.
